Board of Education Candidates for Nov 7, 2017

The Clinton PTA reached out to all Board of Education candidates with the following letter. If they responded, we’ve included it below:

Dear Board of Education Candidates,

The mission of the Clinton PTA is to be a collective voice for Clinton Public School students, parents and teachers.  To that end, in the past the PTA has hosted a public forum for the Clinton Community to get to know our Board of Education candidates.  As the core of our mission is to advocate for Clinton’s children, and those running for this seat in our town can have a direct impact on decisions affecting our schools and students, we would like to provide an opportunity for our community to get to know the candidates.

While it is proving difficult for us to host a public forum this year, we would like to invite you to send along a statement, or even a short video, that we would post on our website and share with our membership that would allow our constituents to “get to know you”.   What is your background and experience?  What goals do you have for your tenure on the Board?  Why are you running for this position? And anything else that allows the community to get to know you.
